Compulsory education from three years old in France

This is the declaration drafted by OMEP French committee following the decision of the President of French Republic on 27 March 2018 "to make pre-primary school compulsory, and thus to reduce from six to three the age at which education is obligatory in France, as of the autumn 2019".

OMEP-France supports this decision, which only confirms the already established practice of widespread attendance of pre-primary schools at a very important time in the child's development.
