Early childhood education (ECE) survey related to COVID-19 in Sub-Saharan Africa

 

Closes on June 25th

 

 

 

OMEP Africa, with the representation of its Regional Vice President, Nyamikeh Kyiamah, participates in the development of an UNESCO’s survey Early childhood education (ECE) personnel survey related to COVID-19 in Sub-Saharan Africa.  The survey targets heads of ECE centres, principals of pre-primary schools/classes, teachers, educators and teaching assistants.

 

This survey has been carried out with the support of the following organizations:the Africa Early Childhood Network (AfECN), ADEA Inter-Country Quality Node for Early Childhood Development (ICQN-ECD), the Early Childhood Care and Education Task Team within the Regional Coordination Group for SDG4-Education 2030 for West and Central Africa (RCG4-WCA), ILO, the Teaching and Learning Educators’ Network for Transformation (TALENT), UNESCO (including UNESCO IICBA), UNICEF and World Organization for Early Childhood Education (OMEP).

 

This study is being conducted in 48 countries of Sub-Saharan Africa, with the aims to raise awareness and gain a better understanding of how COVID-19 is affecting ECE personnel, their work and their capacity building needs. The survey will be online until June 25.
